About Vettes of the Smokies

Vettes of the Smokies Corvette Club was founded in 2008 by a group of Corvette owners who just wanted to get together and enjoy thier cars. Our members are made up from people located throughout the greater Tri-Cities area of Tennessee. We do a lot of club rides around the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee and North Carolina and, of course, we enjoy some fine restaurants along the way. Our members get together once a month on the first Monday of the month for our club meeting at The Black Olive restaurant located at 125 E Jackson Blvd Suite 8 Jonesborough, TN 37659. The meeting starts at 7:30pm but we usually arrive early in order to eat before the meeting.

Note: If the first Monday of the month is a holiday we meet on the second Monday of the month.

We do our annual all Corvette car show in June at Courtesy Chevrolet in Kingsport Tennessee to raise money for a charity that is decided upon by the club members. Charities in the past have been Wounded Warriors, Saint Jude, Small Miracles Therapeutic, Greene County Humane Society, Appalachian Highlands Humane Society, and Second Harvest Food Bank. The last several years we have focused on the smaller local charitable organizations because they are right here in our community and tend to have a greater need for funding. We also participate every year in the Second Harvest Thanksgiving Baskets program, and at Christmas we support Wreaths across America to honor our veterans as well as collect toys for the Toys-for-Tots program.
